Description

Golden sunlight illuminates the leaves of this tree before sunset.

Impasto is one of my favorite styles to paint -- with paint so thick its texture begs to be touched.

As a versatile visual artist, utilizing more than three dozen artistic mediums, there's one common thread that ties my work together... light.

I began to study light as a child, learning from my grandma, who had been an accomplished oil painter since before I was born. I observed how light came from a single source and influenced the color, mood, and temperature of everything it touched.

I witnessed how water reflects the beauty of light, no matter how big the storm or ocean waves. I explored why "lighting" continues to be the first three rules of photography -- as it's critical to every image, and a photograph can't be created without light. And I dedicated decades of my life to witnessing, studying, and re-creating light in every type of art.

As a born-again Christian, I see light in all of God's creation. I witness His singular source and how it changes those willing to reflect His beauty.

My goal is to encourage my viewers to see God in all of creation, to view the world in surprising and magnificent ways they never expected, and to pass that inspiration on to others.
